1. Customer Responsibilities

  • Please keep all important documents, keys, jewellery, cash, bank cards, and essential items with you before packing/loading begins.
  • Flammable liquids (e.g. petroleum-based fluids, oil-based paints) are not permitted in our vehicles.
  • The customer is responsible for arranging parking at both ends. Any fines or clamping charges will be added to the final invoice.
  • Our vehicles are insured for business use only. No passengers other than company employees are permitted.
  • Any additional items not included in the original quotation may result in a price adjustment.
  • Packing services do not include perishable goods, open food, or liquids.
  • We are not responsible for damage to items not packed by our team.
  • We are not liable for damage caused by customer-supplied packing materials.
  • Packing materials, unless otherwise agreed, are charged separately as per our price list.
  • We are not responsible for damage caused where customers assist with loading or unloading.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or stop service due to inappropriate behaviour or circumstances.
  • In case of lift/elevator failure, additional hourly charges will apply.
  • We are not liable for damage caused by property restrictions, tight access, or oversized items.
  • We cannot guarantee handling of specialist tasks (e.g. disconnecting appliances, removing doors, etc.) unless agreed in advance.
  • If access exceeds 20 meters between property and vehicle, additional charges may apply.
  • Our team will not remove footwear; customers are advised to use floor protection.
  • Quotes may change on the day if additional vehicles or manpower are required.
  • Our team is entitled to a 20-minute break within every 4-hour period.
  • Any concerns must be raised directly with the company during the move. Completion of the job confirms acceptance of service.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, breakdowns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Customers must check the vehicle before completion. We are not responsible for missing items after departure.
  • Emergency overnight storage charge: £450 per vehicle.
  • Waiting time due to customer delays (e.g. keys not available): £79 per hour per truck.
  • Late working charges (unless agreed):
  • After 5:00 pm (Mon–Fri): £29 per person per hour
  • After 5:00 pm (Weekends/Bank Holidays): £49 per person per hour
  • Customs duties, inspections, and government fees are not included in the quote unless stated.

 

2. Payments & Claims

  • A 10% deposit is required to secure the booking. Remaining balance is due 3 days prior to the move, unless otherwise agreed.
  • If payment is made on the day, it must be cleared before unloading begins.
  • Hourly bookings: any additional 15 minutes is charged as a full hour.
  • Non-payment will be legally pursued, and all associated costs will be recoverable from the customer.
  • Items placed into storage due to non-payment will incur storage charges.
  • We reserve the right to auction goods after 28 days of non-payment.
  • An itemised inventory must be provided before the move for insurance purposes.
  • Insurance claims require a £250 excess fee, refundable if the claim is successful.
  • Any damage claims must be reported within 7 days of completion.
